Terrorism Conviction in New York Subway Plot

The Takeaway

Adis Medunjanin, a 28-year-old naturalized citizen born in Bosnia, was convicted of a host of terrorism charges connected to plotting suicide attacks in the New York subways.
The trial was held in a federal court in New York City, putting the government’s efforts to prosecute terrorists in criminal court to the test. It also offered a rare glimpse into the inner workings of Al Qaeda through the testimony of two other convicted terrorists.
Bob Hennelly, contributing editor for politics and investigations for WNYC, has been following the trial.
