President Obama has announced three new cabinet appointments for departments under serious scrutiny.
For energy secretary, the president has nominated MIT professor Ernest Moniz. President Obama chose Gina McCarthy as administrator for the Environmental Protection Agency, and the president also hopes to have Sylvia Mathews Burwell lead the Office of Management and Budget.
All three of these nominees will require Senate confirmation, and Takeaway Washington correspondent Todd Zwillich explores what’s ahead.
