It’s official: The Miami Heat basketball team has won back-to-back NBA Championship titles. Game 7 of the 18th NBA Finals was finished last night with the Heat winning 95-88 against the San Antonio Spurs.
LeBron James, Miami’s closely-watched player, also scored the title of NBA Finals MVP for the second year in a row.
“This team is amazing,” James said, according to CNN. “And the vision that I had when I decided to come here (in 2010) is all coming true.”
What does the win mean for James? Is the sky the limit for the Heat going forward? And do the Spurs have one more run in them after this long playoffs? Joey Palacios, reporter for KSTX in San Antonio, and Tim Reynolds, sports writer for the Associated Press, joins us to discuss the victory and what it means.
