Showtime’s Homeland, up for three Golden Globe awards this weekend was originally an Israeli program called Hatufim (Abductees/English title: ‘Prisoners of War’). Reporter Daniel Estrin explains why nearly half a dozen shows in development at US networks are based on hit Israeli series.
