Chinese government’s response to earthquake

Nearly 15,000 people have died and 25,000 are still trapped in the earthquake that hit China’s Sichuan province on Monday, official media say.
"The World’s" Mary Kay Magistad reports that the Chinese government’s response to the disaster is quite different from the way the government handled a massive earthquake back in 1976.
From assigning round-the-clock workers and ensuring open routes of transportation to the areas devastated by the earthquake, to asking citizens to donate money or blood, and accepting foreign donations, China’s government is going all-out in its relief efforts.
