Chip Starnes, the American owner of a medical supplies firm, has been held up by his own workers at his factory in China.
Since seven days ago, workers have refused to let him go.
They fear production will be moved to India and so they are demanding severance packages.
Others say they haven’t been paid for two months.
Carol Hills talked with Starnes from his office in Beijing.
