The World – Episode 20071107 – Guant-namo gears up for military trials

A Canadian detainee at the U.S. prison camp at Guant-namo Bay is scheduled to get a hearing tomorrow. Omar Khadr is accused of throwing a grenade that killed a US soldier in Afghanistan in 2002. At issue is whether Khadr is an unlawful enemy combatant and thus subject to a trial. The hearing could be the first full military commission at Guant-namo. And the camp is building courtrooms to prepare for dozens more. The World’s Katy Clark has more from Guant-namo.
