Update from Gaza

(Israel’s reopening of the border to humanitarian aid was apparently meant as an olive branch to the people of the Gaza Strip. How do you think the people of Gaza see things?) There is still a big level of support for Hamas in Gaza. (Israel has tightly controlled its border with Gaza even restricting aid. Could all be forgiven with this reopening?) No, because they just allowed a small shipment, and there’s still a fuel blackout for a large amount of Gaza. (Israeli media has also said that Israel is preparing for large scale incursions into Gaza, are you hearing that as well?) Yes, according to some reports, Israelis are bringing tanks and other forces to the border more and more. (So how do the Palestinians prepare?) The normal people can’t do anything, but the militants are ramping up their training and moving people to the border.
