Guitarist and Rock music innovator Jimi Hendrix died 40 years ago this week in Kensington’s Samarkind Hotel, he was 27.
Born in Seattle, Washington, Hendrix was an avid listener of the Blues but soon found a style all his own. He’s widely regarded as the one of the world’s most creative electric guitar player in rock and roll, influencing and informing countless of musicians in the years to come.
