Today’s Geo Quiz features a place worthy of a presidential honeymoon.

Now he may or may not have married a former supermodel named Carla Bruni. Sarkozy’s office won’t say. But the paparazzi have already descended on a small village in Italy that could be the couple’s honeymoon destination.

This village is near a city that’s famous for love. So that’s the place we want you to name. This city was the setting for Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet.

It’s surrounded by vineyards famous for producing Valpolicella wine.

Its red cherry flavor makes this wine perfect for dinner parties — and honeymoons. So name this northeastern Italian city…. you’ve got less than five, four, three, two…all right. We won’t keep you hanging any longer.

The answer to our quiz is Verona, Italy.

And the village rumored to be Sarkozy’s preferred honeymoon spot is called Negrar. It’s just a few miles north of the city. Paola Colapisca is an editor for L’Arena newspaper in Verona.

Her sources tell her that President Sarkozy and model Carla Bruni are indeed planning to come to Italy for their honeymoon.

Colapisca checked out the rumor with the manager of the country hotel where the famous couple had been expected to arrive.

?It is called La Magioca, it is a country home, the owner of the Magioca, Mrs. confirmed that she had received a telephone call from a friend of Carla Bruni for a brief stay in the country hotel, but now there are too many journalists, too many photographers around the hotel that maybe Mr. President Sarkozy and Carla Bruni don’t come to Verona.

Colapisca worries the crowd that’s gathered may be a turn off for the honeymooners.

But if they DO still come, Verona is a good choice.
