All this week, its capital city is flooded with African movie stars, directors, distributors and serious film buffs.
The bi-annual festival features hundreds of films big and small representing 13 African countries.
Fespaco is sometimes called the African Oscars.
There’s everything from an Egyptian horror flick to a Cameroonian love story competing for this years top honors.
