A Halloween Spook-tacular! Spiders are very scary. But if there’s one day when they ought to get their proper respect, it would be today – Halloween. Of course, some people celebrate spiders every day. Cheryl Hayashi, a biologist who studies spiders at the University of California at Riverside, has just won a MacArthur fellowship for her work on spider silk.
