Eve Ensler taps into the teenage psyche

The World

March is Women’s History Month and in celebration we’ve invited Eve Ensler to talk about her latest projects. The author, playwright and well-known feminist has worked to advance women’s rights worldwide.

She joins us to discuss her latest book, “I am an Emotional Creature: The Secret Life of Girls Around the World,” a series of monologues told from the perspectives of teenage girls. She also discusses her upcoming mission to Congo to create the “City of Joy,” a safe pastoral city for survivors of sexual violence, where they will be supported in their efforts to heal.

Do you support journalism that strengthens our democracy?

At The World, we believe strongly that human-centered journalism is at the heart of an informed public and a strong democracy. We see democracy and journalism as two sides of the same coin. If you care about one, it is imperative to care about the other.

Every day, our nonprofit newsroom seeks to inform and empower listeners and hold the powerful accountable. Neither would be possible without the support of listeners like you. If you believe in our work, will you give today? We need your help now more than ever!
