You may have seen Derrick Ashong in a YouTube video that’s been making the rounds. It’s of an interview he did with a journalist who accosted him outside L.A.’s Hollywood Centre, where the 3rd Obama-Clinton debate was about to begin. The journalist was looking to make a fool out of some young, under-informed Obama worshipper by asking tough questions about health care. But Ashong didn’t oblige. Of course, what the interviewer didn’t know is that Ashong is an honors PhD student at Harvard. And now he’s kicked off a web-based video contest to get more people thinking seriously about politics. He joins Faith Salie on Fair Game to explain more.
