New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg says his city”dodged a bullet” with Hurricane Irene, but less than 150 miles upstate, other towns were not so lucky. The tiny town of Prattsville has been completely devastated by Irene. With no phone service, no electricity and the bridges leading out of town closed, it’s 700 residents are almost completely cut off from the outside world. New York Governor Andrew Cuomo was in Prattsville yesterday, but many residents say the Governor’s appearance was the first sign of outside help they’ve seen since the storm hit. We’re speaking with one of those residents. Alicia Schaeffer is the owner of Crow Dog Farms in neighboring Lexington, N.Y.
