Rival forces are poised for a showdown in Ivory Coast's main city Abidjan. Fighters backing the country's internationally-recognized president Alassane Ouattara have poured into the city in recent days. Their goal is to force the incumbent Laurent Gbagbo to step aside but they will have to overcome the stiff resistance of forces loyal to Gbagbo.
