Bank CEOs testify before financial crisis commission

The World

The Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission kicked off hearings yesterday. Banks CEOs were the first ones to testify, and the debate heated up very quickly.

Joining us this morning to go over this first day of hearings is someone who was in the room and testified himself: Peter Solomon, the founder and chairman of Peter J. Solomon Company, an independent investment bank. He’ll give his take on the CEOs’ testimonies, provide his own analysis of the financial crisis, say what he’s doing differently with his investment bank, and make suggestions for future legislation.
