Roger Moore says he was victim of domestic abuse by ex wives

Former James Bond actor Sir Roger Moore said he was beaten up by two of his ex-wives.
The 84-year-old British movie star, who first played agent 007 in “Live and Let Die” in 1973, said he was often the victim of domestic abuse by his first two wives, Doorn van Steyn and Dorothy Squires, the Press Association reported.
Van Steyn, an ice skater, once threw a teapot at Moore after he gave her “some smart Alec answer,” Moore told Piers Morgan’s ITV show Life Stories, which will be broadcast on Friday.
Moore claimed Dorothy Squires, a Welsh singer, had a “great temper” and once hit him over the head with a guitar.
"She ruined the guitar," he said.
Unfortunately neither woman can offer their side of their volatile marriage to Moore. Squires died in 1998 and Van Steyn in 2010, the Agence France-Presse reported.
Moore’s third wife was Italian actress Luisa Mattioli, with whom he had three children. They divorced in 1996.
He’s now married to 71-year-old Scandinavian socialite Christina Tholstrup.
“It’s a tranquil relationship, there are no arguments,” Moore said, according to News.com.au.
