UN climate talks resume in Bonn

The World

After the bottom nearly dropped out of the international climate summit in Copenhagen six months ago, some say don’t expect much, if anything, to come out of a similar summit beginning today in Bonn, Germany. The main challenges on coming to an agreement remain, and one of the big questions is: How should rich economies help poor countries deal with climate change?

?Developing countries want wealthy countries to transfer money and technology to address climate change ? some countries think they’re going to get a large sum of money out of this ? but I don’t think that’s going to happen,? says Marc Levinson, a senior fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations.

Levinson tells The Takeaway that the uncertainty on future climate regulation is stifling business in the U.S. and in countries all over the world.
