Rita Indiana is an extraordinary talent. Her music turned her into a star in her native Dominican Republic -where she could hardly go anywhere without someone recognizing her- and her writing has made her one of the most unique contemporary voices in Latin American and Caribbean literature.
At the height of her music career, Indiana surprised her fans and her family when she decided to quit her band "Rita Indiana y los Misterios" to concentrate on her writing. Luckily, her electro merengue music is still available online for our enjoyment.
Now Indiana is looking forward to the release of her first work of science fiction in 2015. In the meantime you can read her widely acclaimed novel Papi, and her most recent work Nombres y animales.
