Guy Hedgecoe is a freelance print and broadcast journalist based in Madrid, Spain. He edits the website Iberosphere, which offers analysis of Spanish news issues. He has reported on Spain for Deutsche Welle Radio, the BBC, Al Jazeera, the Associated Press and Foreign Policy magazine, and between 2006 and 2009 he edited the English-language edition of El Pais newspaper. Previously, he was based in Ecuador, where he reported for, among others, the Financial Times, the Miami Herald and CNN.
