David Wroe, a Berlin-based journalist, has covered Germany for the past two years, focusing on politics and social affairs. He reported on the 2009 German elections and the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, writing for London's Daily Telegraph, The Guardian, The Scotsman, Al Jazeera International, News of the World, The Sydney Morning Herald, and a number of other publications. Before moving to Berlin, he lived for a year in Cairo. Wroe began his journalism career in Australia, at The Age newspaper, where he was a political reporter and news editor.
