Residents throughout the south have evacuated their homes. Over the weekend, the Morganza Spillway was opened, saving Baton Rouge and New Orleans from massive flooding and damage. But residents near the Atchafalaya Basin could see the lowlands and backwaters of the basin under 15 feet of water by the middle of the week.
