USDA offers farmers more money to conserve land

Last week the USDA announced increased incentives for farmers to enroll in the Conservation Reservation Project. The program, which has existed since 1985, offers farmers money to plant grasses and trees on their land, rather than crops. The USDA is seeking 1 million new acres f the program.
