Composer and vocalist Sussan Deyhim recently collaborated with film artist Shirin Neshat on the performance piece, Logic of the Birds. She performs a musical passage from that work. Deyhim left Iran shortly after the Revolution in 1979 and has never returned. Her haunting vocals are heard in Neshat’s film, Turbulent, and she has worked with musicians ranging from the Blue Man Group to Branford Marsalis.
