Every Song Beyoncé and Jay Z Could Perform Together This Summer

Studio 360

There’s a long tradition of husband and wife pop stars going on tour together, from Sonny and Cher to Win and Rgine. But when Beyonc and Jay Z — the two biggest stars in their respective genres and each an international phenomenon— announced a set of joint summer dates yesterday morning, it was kind of a big deal. In fact, it’s such a big deal that the world didn’t bat an eye when they announced a summer tour in matching ski masks.

The On the Run tour, launching June 25 in Miami, is named for one of the couple’s recent collaborations, “Part II (On the Run).” The song is just one of nine occasions on which they’ve guested on each other’s albums since 2002. It’s also likely one of nine (and maybe more) occasions on which fans can expect Bey and Jay to take the stage together while on tour.

The songs presentquite a love story. While they strongly hinted at their relationship in “’03 Bonnie and Clyde,” they announced it to the world with the mega-hit “Crazy in Love” in 2003. A decade later, they’re married and apparently still going strong, with the recent anthem “Drunk in Love.” The Carters are a couple of hits away from a joint greatest hits album, but there are some misses in the back catalogue (“Hollywood,” “Part II”). But performed live this summer, even those songs will likely provide some fireworks for fans.

Here’s a timeline of the couple’scollaborations:

1. “’03 Bonnie and Clyde” (2002)

2. “Crazy in Love” (2003)

3. “That’s How You Like It” (2003)

4. “Upgrade U” (2006)

5. “DjVu” (2006)

6. “Hollywood” (2006)

7. “Lift Off” [with Kanye West] (2011)

8. “Blue Ivy Carter” (2012)
