Comedian Merrill Markoe on Animal Art

Kurt Andersen and the comedian and writer Merrill Markoe talk about the wild and the woolly — art by and about animals.

Markoe is the author of several books, including What the Dogs Have Taught Me and Other Things I’ve Learned and a children’s book, When My Dogs Became Guys. She won several Emmys as a writer for Late Night with David Letterman — and she created Stupid Pet Tricks. Her most recent book is the novel It’s My F—ing Birthday.
