Rabbi Shmuel Rabinovich, chairman of the Western Wall Heritage Foundation, asked eBay to remove the entry. The foundation also reported the sales to the police. Rabinovich "termed the sale and use of stones from the Western Wall both a sacrilege explicitly forbidden in the Torah, as well as a violation of modern antiquities laws," according to Haaretz

However, the page selling the stones still hadn't been taken down as of Monday afternoon. According to the eBay page, nine Western Wall blessing stones have already been sold.
