Thailand floods kill scores, strand 15,000 tourists (VIDEO)

Floods in Thailand have killed at least 15 people and stranded about 15,000 tourists after choking off road, rail and air links and stopping ferry services, according to reports.
The flooding, resulting from heavy rains, floods and high seas since the weekend, has affected more than 716,000 people, the country's disaster prevention agency said, CNN reported.
A mudslide on killed at least 10 people in Khao Panom village in Krabi province, 400 miles south of Bangkok, according to news reports. More than 300 were still missing, district chief Suphot Channakhet told a radio station, according to DPA.
Islands in the Gulf of Thailand and Andaman Sea have been left isolated after ferry services were canceled. The storm-struck area includes some of Thailand's most popular beach and island resorts such as Krabi province and the islands of Phuket and Samui.
Thailand is coming to the end of its high season for tourists.
The country's only aircraft carrier was used on Wednesday to rescue about 400 foreign tourists and Thai nationals from Tao Island in the Gulf of Thailand.
