US presidential hopeful Sarah Palin will visit India next month to speak at the India Today Conclave, a business conference organized by one of the country's top media companies, the Toronto Star reports.
Other speakers will include Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
Both Singh and many Indians loved former President George W. Bush — who deserves credit for the paradigm-shifting US-India civil nuclear agreement — so it will be interesting to see how Palin's folksy homilies and Rush Limbaugh-style tough talk go over among the country's elite.
My guess: She charms the Indian media by gushing flattery about India's rise. When will India ever learn?
