There’s quite a bit of buzz in the Far Eastern and South Korean press that Dear Leader Kim Jong Il might travel to Russia next week to meet Dmitry Medvedev during the Russian president’s visit to Vladivostok.
If the meeting does take place, it would be the first between Kim and a Russian leader since he met Vladimir Putin, then president, in Vladivostok in August 2002, the reports say.
There’s nothing concrete, with everyone citing unnamed sources. But it’s as good an excuse as any to watch this video of Kim Jong Il receiving a gift of horses from Russia:
