Dunkin’ Donuts employee arrested for offering sex during breaks

A Dunkin' Donuts in northern New Jersey is in the spotlight after one of its employees was found to have been offering sex in exchange for money during her breaks.

Rockaway Township police told The Daily Record of Parsippany that Melissa Redmond, 29, of Mine Hill, was facing prostitution charges

The police launched a six-week investigation known as "extra sugar" after getting a tip about the Redmond's activities at the Dunkin' Donuts.

Redmond worked the drive-through window at the Dunkin' Donuts on Route 46.

Detective Sgt. Kyle Schwarzmann reportedly said he noticed Redmond would go out to cars and would spend 10 to 15 minutes in the vehicles.

Schwarzmann says Redmond was arrested after soliciting sex from an undercover officer.

“She was a night time employee [9 p.m. to 5 a.m.], supposedly a very good one," Schwarzmann told the Asbury Park Press.

"Sometimes I 'd even see money changing hands," said Schwarzmann, who was tasked with surveilling Redmond at the coffee and donuts outlet.

He said that the cars would either stay in the Dunkin' Donuts parking lot or drive to another nearby location.

Another officer, acting as the undercover "John" then "went in plain clothes through the drive thru window. He spoke to her and she said if he wanted a good time to call her and she gave him her phone number."
