Vietnam airline fined for bikini performance

They just wanted to make their customers happy, but perhaps they went a bit too far: a Vietnamese budget airline has been fined 20 million dong ($960) for hosting g a bikini show on its flight last Friday, Tuoi Tre reported. VietJetAir's in-flight Hawaiian dance performance featured young, bikini-clad beauty pageant contestants. The airline was fined for hosting the show without permission from aviation officials after footage of the performance appeared on YouTube.

"It was the first flight to a beach town, so we came up with the idea of getting a number of girls in bikinis to dance and make passengers happy to improve our customer service," a VietJetAir official told the Daily Mail

The Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam said that the airline also breached safety regulations by allowing passengers to use their cell phones and video cameras to record the show, Ninemsn reported. Watch a video of the performance below:
