Video: Vietnam traffic cops gone wild

Vietnamese traffic police in Thanh Hoa province near Ho Chi Minh City are not screwing around.

They concede to using fishing nets to snare teenagers speeding through town. The cops had no other workable defense against "mob racing," according to a senior traffic cop quoted by the Telegraph. (Click over for a ridiculous photo of a cop with a giant net chasing a cyclist.)

But jamming a nightstick in passing motorbike's wheel, causing two perps to fly off?

We didn't do that, the same province's police claim, despite purported evidence posted to YouTube, reports VietnamNet.

If they did, that would be an awfully harsh detainment tactic for two guys whose only infaction, VietnamNet reports, was riding without a helmet.

Here's video of the aftermath.
