US women snag artistic gymnastics gold medal, first since 1996 (VIDEO)

The US Women's Gymnastics team has just won a momentous team gold medal in the Artistic Gymnastics competition, the first such victory for the squad since its famous 1996 win.
Alexandra Raisman, who beat out favorite Jordyn Wieber to compete in the all-around final later this week, helped secure the team win with a floor exercise routine set to "Hava Nagila" that recieved a 15.300 score, reports the LA Times.
Russia came in second, after "imploding" on the floor exercise, according to the Chicago Tribune.
Romania won the bronze, and China — the 2008 winners — came in fourth, finishing out of contention for a medal.
Raisman's parents made news themselves earlier this week, as they became famous online for their obvious — and amusing — anxiety over their daughter's performance.
