The missile defense may miss this incoming missile as they are too busy cruising internet porn websites, according to an internal memo.
Like a mother walking in on her son, the Pentagon’s Missile Defense Agency warned its employees and contractors to stop using their government computers to visit pornographic websites, according to Bloomberg.
Executive Director John James Jr. wrote in a memo obtained by Bloomberg to his staff, that in recent months government employees and contractors were detected “engaging in inappropriate use of the MDA network."
James continued in the memo saying, "Specifically, there have been instances of employees and contractors accessing websites, or transmitting messages, containing pornographic or sexually explicit images. These actions are not only unprofessional, they reflect time taken away from designated duties, are in clear violation of federal and DoD and regulations, consume network resources and can compromise the security of the network though the introduction of malware or malicious code."
According to News.com, if employees are found in breach of the rules, they face "appropriate" disciplinary action and that their security clearances could be jeopardized.
Perhaps a few employees have already been fired. According to the Missile Defense Agency website, they are hiring. But it sounds like a job you could totally slack off at. Part of the job description reads, "The Missile Defense Agency is assembling a team of career professionals to develop and deploy one of the most challenging and advanced technological undertakings since the Manhattan Project. Here’s your chance to participate in our layered Missile Defense System, which is being developed and tested to defend our country, our allies, and our troops in the field."
