Upstate New York mushroom house finally finds a buyer (VIDEO)

A million dollar mushroom house in upstate New York has finally sold  – for less than its asking price.

The house is in Perinton, N.Y., a small town just outisde Rochester.  The mushroom house sold last month for about $800,000, Bloomberg said

It had been listed at $1.1 million back in July 2011 when it was featured as a Zillow House of the Week

The whimsical house was custom built in 1971 to resemble a stem of Queen Anne's lace, Zillow said. At some point, however, it became nicknamed the mushroom house.

The 4,168 square foot house has three bedrooms and three bathrooms spread over an interconnected network of five pods located on a hill.
