“Three Blind Mice” stunt sees baseball music intern kicked out of Florida game (VIDEO)

"Hey, my name's Derek and I've been ejected from a pro baseball game," tweeted Daytona Cubs music intern Derek Dye after being ousted from Wednesday's minor league game for playing the song "Three Blind Mice" on field loudspeakers following an umpire's controversial call, reported ABC News.

The home-plate umpire Mario Seneca yelled "You're done!" after making a questionable call in the eighth inning of the Cubs game against the Fort Meyers Miracle, causing confusion in the stands at Jackie Robinson Ballpark in Florida's Daytona Beach because most people thought the umpire was going to argue with the Cubs' manager over the play.

No, he was just annoyed at the music, an organ rendering of "Three Blind Mice."

The stadium's public-address sound system was promptly shut down, so "fans took it upon themselves to announce players as they approached the plate," according to FOX. 

The Cubs won the game but lost their spunky 21-year-old music intern, a senior at the University of Illinois. 

But he won't be far away. Daytona Cubs Media Relations Director Robbie Aaron told the Daytona Beach News-Journal today that he'll still be at the games — he's just been demoted to selling tickets.
