A traffic cop in Thailand set a new record when he delivered his 47th baby on Bangkok's busy streets.

Mana Jokkoksung, 43, has now brought the most babies into the world among the country's multi-talented traffic cops, The Telegraph reported.

Traffic in Bangkok is awful, to say the least Its streets can handle up to 1.6 million cars but reports suggest there are more than four times that number of cars, pickup trucks and motorbikes registered there.

Because of this, Jokkoksung and other officers are given midwife training to help women who are in labor but aren't going to make it to the hospital, Al-Jazeera reported.

"The first time [I delivered a baby] I was shaking, I was excited, scared," Jokkosung told Al-Jazeera. "Scared of the blood coming out, scared of the head coming out. Even now, I wonder if I'll get there on time, if I'll find the car."

The 19-year-old mother of Jokkoksung's latest bundle of joy was very grateful for the help.

"It is good that we have this project otherwise it would be dangerous for me and my daughter. She is very small and I was so worried because she was in my pants," Chotika Chuennoi told The Telegraph.
