Starbucks, Square to allow customers to pay by phone

Starbucks will soon be the first US chain to let customers pay with their phones with Square's mobile payment technology.
The New York Times reported this fall Square will begin processing all credit and debit card purchases at Starbucks' American stores.
Even cooler, the Times wrote "eventually customers will be able to order a grande vanilla latte and charge it to their credit cards simply by saying their names."

ABC News said “Pay with Square” will be available at 7,000 stores and is the brainchild of Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey.
“Everyone should be able to accept credit cards,” Dorsey wrote to announce the partnership.
Starbucks clearly has some personal stake in the partnership.
The beverage company is also investing $25 million in Square and Starbucks’s chief executive Howard D. Schultz will join Square’s board, the New York Times reported.
