The Spice Girls were reunited on Tuesday for the launch of Viva Forever!, a London musical inspired by the pop group's hits of the late 1990s.

Together for the first time since their 2008 reunion tour, Victoria Beckham, Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton, Melanie Chisholm and Melanie Brown helped announce the arrival of the show at the St. Pancras Hotel in London, which was famously featured in the video for their debut single "Wannabe," according to Agence France-Presse. The show will debut at the Piccadilly Theatre in London's West End on December 11.

Viva Forever! tells the story of four girls whose friendship is tested when their band enters a TV talent show, reported the Associated Press. The show is produced by Judy Craymer, the woman behind the ABBA musical Mamma Mia.

The Press Association reported that the group said they were thrilled to see each other again.

"We've all got children now and I think that's something else that has united us. Our musical Viva is really about being a mum, children, family, joy and fun — and that's what we have in common now, being mums," said Halliwell, according to the PA.

Chisholm added: "Us girls, we have a long-standing friendship and we're in touch and we see each other as often as we can so we don't get to do things like this publicly very often. Victoria's flying off, but we're all going to see each other soon."
