Shaun White, the two-time Olympic gold medal winning snowboarder, is facing charges of vandalism and public intoxication after being arrested at a hotel in Nashville, Tennessee.

According to reports, White, 26, pulled a fire alarm at the Loews Vanderbilt Hotel late Sunday, forcing the evacuation of all hotel guests, then tried to flee the scene before "a citizen" intervened, ABC News reported

The X Games also allegedly kicked a person who threatened to call the police.

"The citizen reported that he chased White until White turned and ran into him, apparently causing White to fall backwards and strike his head against a fence,” ABC cited a police report as saying.

"White was transported to a local hospital for treatment."

A mug shot released by police shows White with a black eye.

While in custody, White reportedly refused to sign misdemeanor citations.

"He basically put himself in jail by not signing that," a police source told ESPN.com.

A Loews Vanderbilt Hotel employee told police he also saw White destroy a hotel phone, ESPN reported.

White, who won gold at the Turin and Vancouver Olympics, is a multimillionaire thanks to endorsements that include a clothing line and video game.

He is also one of the world's top skateboarders, and has won 24 X Games medals as a snowboarder and skateboarder, including 16 golds.

A redhead, he is known as the Flying Tomato, according to the Los Angeles Times.
