Seoul’s Incheon International Airport named the world’s best

Seoul's Incheon International Airport is officially the best in the world.
This year marks the second time the airport, built on reclaimed land between two islands, has taken the title in the Skytrax World Airport Awards.
Winning six of the top 10 spots, Asian airports continued dominated the awards. "The same three airports have held the top three slots, in various orders, for six years now," the Economist noted.
Singapore's Changi Airport came in second. Hong Kong International Airport took third place. Beijing's Capita International Airport took fifth place, Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport was the only airport outside of Asia break in to the top five.
"The real differentiator that comes across in customer feedback is that the service culture across these Asian airports is very often at a much higher quality level," Skytrax chairman Edward Plaisted said.
Seoul's airport benefits from some really luxurious airline lounges, one of which USA TODAY showed off in a photo gallery earlier this month.
The SKYTRAX competition ranks passenger experiences in 39 different categories including public transit connections, wait times, friendliness and the cleanliness of its bathrooms. Skytrax surveys passengers from more 12 million passengers from more than 100 countries to compile its annual rankings.
The top-ranked US airport is in northern Kentucky.
Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport, located just south of the Kentucky/Ohio border came in at no. 24 on the list.
