Reese Witherspoon welcomes a baby boy named Tennessee James

Reese Witherspoon gave birth to a boy in Los Angeles on Thursday.

The actress and her talent agent husband Jim Toth, whom she married last year, have named their son Tennessee James, People magazine reported, citing a statement from Witherspoon’s representative.

This is the couple’s first child.

“Reese Witherspoon and husband Jim Toth welcomed Tennessee James into their family today,” the statement said.

“Both mom and baby are healthy and the entire family is thrilled.”

The Los Angeles Times said Witherspoon, 36, has two children from a previous marriage to actor Ryan Phillippe.

Witherspoon spent her pregnancy filming “Devil’s Knot” alongside Colin Firth and doing the stuff that celebrities do, such as attending film festivals and weddings of other famous people, according to E! Online.
