LOS ANGELES — Adult film star Ron Jeremy is in critical condition at a Los Angeles hospital after suffering from a heart aneurysm, reports TMZ.
The 59-year-old actor drove to Cedars-Siani Medical Center on Tuesday afternoon after experiencing severe chest pains.
His manager Mike Esterman told E! News that doctors diagnosed an aneurysm near Jeremy's heart and admitted him to the hospitals intensive care unit.
"This has been a very difficult morning. We are awaiting the doctors to make a statement at this time," Esterman told E! News.
TMZ reports that Jeremy is currently being prepped for emergency surgery.
Jeremy, nicknamed the "Hedgehog" for his short and hairy body, has become one of the adult entertainment industry's most successful performers.
He's appeared in more than 2,000 X-rated movies including "Super Hornio Brothers," "High Heels, Low Standards," and "A Christmas Orgy", reports TMZ.
His memoir, "The Hardest (Working) Man in Showbiz" was released in 2007.
