Nemo’s wrath: Pileup on Maine highway

A multiple-car pileup in Maine was just the latest in a number of road incidents since snowstorm Nemo began.

State police said that only one person was injured in the crash that took four hours to clean, said NBC 14 News.

The victim was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

An initial crash likely caused a chain reaction on a slippery highway, said News 10.

Traffic was backed up for miles after the crash which blocked several lanes.

One lane was eventually opened.

Maine was blasted by the storm Friday night with two feet of snow dropping overnight, reported the Associated Press.

Maine Governor Paul LePage has called for a limited emergency in the state to allow clean-up crews to clear snow.
