Montana cornfield napper run over by combine

A man napping in a Montana cornfield got quite the rude awakening when he was run over by a harvesting machine.
The 57-year-old man had been traveling the country by bus and decided to take a rest three rows deep in a field on the outskirts of Billings, the state's largest city, sheriff's Lt. Kent O'Donnell told The Associated Press.

The farmer turned off his combine while harvesting the field Wednesday when he felt it hit something.
Thinking it was an irrigation pipe, he instead heard screaming when he opened the door and called 911, the AP reported.

The machine had apparently caught the man’s clothing and sucked him into the cutter, the Billings Gazette reported.
He suffered deep cuts that required stitches and may need skin grafts but is "incredibly lucky to be alive," O'Donnell told the AP.
“And that’s about all you can say about that," O'Donnell added.
