Matthew McConaughey, a.k.a. ‘Magic Mike,’ and model wife expecting third child

Matthew McConaughey and new wife Camila Alves are expecting their third child, the couple announced via Twitter.

McConaughey, 42, tweeted Wednesday:

happy birthday America, more good news, Camila and I are expecting our 3rd child, God bless, just keep livin — Matthew McConaughey (@McConaughey)

His wife, a 29-year-old a Brazilian model whom he married a month ago, tweeted the same message just 20 minutes earlier.

The couple has a son, Levi, who is nearly 4, and a daughter, Vida, who is 2.

ANI cited the couple as saying on their wedding weekend that they hoped for "More of the same — and more family!"

They announced in March that they would relocate from California to McConaughey's native Texas to raise the children, Reuters reported.

The Hollywood actor's latest role is as the manager of a male strip club in the movie "Magic Mike."

Since its release last Friday, the movie has recorded about $50 million in ticket sales in the United States and Canada, Reuters wrote, citing tracking firm Box Office Mojo.

According to the Irish Independent, the couple met in a Los Angeles bar in 2006.

Alves has also revealed why she accepted when McConaughey popped the question on Christmas Day 2011, saying — OK! Magazine wrote: "I think it's great for the kids. Levi actually understands what it means now that Mama's going to have the same last name as they have, so that's neat."
