Lindsay Lohan allegedly victim of assault in New York hotel

Troubled starlet Lindsay Lohan claims she was assaulted by a man in the swanky W Hotel in New York City early this morning.

The New York Daily News reported that Christian LaBella, 25, attacked Lohan in her hotel room after she demanded he delete photos he had taken of her at the trendy 1 Oak club in Chelsea, where the couple met.

When Lohan, 26, refused to hand over the phone to LaBella, he allegedly “threw her on the bed, causing scratches, and punched her,” E! Online reported.

He also allegedly tried to choke her.

"Lindsay was assaulted early this morning in a New York hotel. While she did sustain some injuries, she was not hospitalized,” Steve Honig, Lohan’s publicist, said in a statement cited by Fox News.

“The assailant was arrested and is currently in police custody. Lindsay has spoken with police and is fully cooperating with the investigation."

According to E! Online, LaBella has been charged with two counts of misdemeanor assault and two counts of harassment.
