Lena Headey, Game of Thrones star, files for divorce

Another day and another celebrity marriage bites the dust.

TMZ has reported that English actress Lena Headey is back on the single’s scene after splitting from her musician husband Peter Loughran.

The star of HBO’s medieval fantasy television series “Game of Thrones” – which recently received 11 Emmy nominations – filed for divorce in the Los Angeles Superior County Court on July 20, citing "irreconcilable differences,” the celebrity gossip website reported.

Headey, who plays the vindictive and cruel Queen Cersei Lannister on the highly acclaimed show, got hitched with Loughran back in May 2007, UPI reported.

The couple separated last year. So far there's no word on a new man in Headey's life.

According to People magazine, Headey is seeking joint custody of the couple’s two-year-old son, Wylie.

Headey, 38, has starred in a number of films, including “300,” “The Brothers Grimm” and “The Red Baron.”
